Accurate, Reliable and Scientifically Validated

Our assessment instruments are carefully developed according to the National Standard for Educational and Psychological Testing.  Multiple scientific studies have established the reliability of the various scales that comprise our assessments.  Temporal stability has also been established.  For example, across multiple settings, the Work Attributes assessment had demonstrated validity in selecting top performers for a wide range of positions.  Demonstrated validity coefficients exceed Department of Labor guidelines for use in personnel selection.

Non-Discriminatory and Legally Defensible

Federal law demands that tests or surveys not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap or sexual orientation.  Our assessment suite employs non-gendered norms and has been found to be highly invariant across racial and ethnic groups.  Our large normative sample contains representative numbers of non-majority individuals.

  • Internal consistency coefficients range from .71 to .87 for scales (mean = .84)
  • Two-week test-retest coefficients for job applicants range from .72 to .83 for scales (mean = .79)

The GSI Work Attribute Assessment provides a systematic assessment of motivational, cognitive, interpersonal, and attitudinal styles and delivers an accurate, time-efficient description of individual characteristics that have been demonstrated to impact job performance.  Our assessment is unique in that it was developed "from the ground up" to be used as a rapid, precise measure of job applicants' behavioral tendencies and is empirically linked to the US Department of Labor's O*NET database for establishing valid benchmark Job Profiles.

The GSI Tenure Assessment is an empirically-validated measure that estimates the relative likelihood of voluntary separation of an applicant.  Each applicant is scored and reported on a scale with the following anchors:  Less Likely to Retain to Extremely Likely to Retain.  The GSI Tenure Assessment assists a client by identifying new hires with a strong desire to work in the job and who will require less time to be assimilated into the organization's culture.
